Dr Elizabeth Buikstra
BSc Hons (Psych), MBA, MPJM, PhD (Psych), MAPS
Dr Elizabeth (Liz) Buikstra is a registered Psychologist with more than 25 years' experience in clinical practice, project management and research. Liz specialises in trauma, workplace stress, burnout, grief & loss, anxiety, depression and interpersonal difficulties, particularly for those in the emergency services and living in rural environments. With a background spanning both public and private sectors, Liz offers grounded, personalised care that draws on both professional and lived experience.
Accessible Support, Wherever You Are
Telehealth provides a convenient and effective way to access psychological support, particularly for individuals living in rural or remote areas, those with limited mobility, or anyone seeking greater flexibility in managing their mental health care.
Fees & Referrals
You do not need a referral to book an appointment with Lacewing Psychology unless you plan to claim Medicare or have a referral from a third party organisation, such as ADF and DVA. Members of the QPS can access the self-refer program.
Book Appointment
You’re welcome to book an appointment directly — no referral is required. However, if you wish to access the Medicare rebate, a referral from a GP or Psychiatrist is necessary. Referrals are also required from third party organisations, such as ADF, DVA and QPS (self-refer program).
